As a first to a favourites post I'm not really sure where to start. I'm one of those people that easily falls in and out of love with products not because I get bored of using them
or dislike them but because I like to try new ones and so find it very hard to pick products I think I just couldn't be without. I've picked out 7 favourites each falling into a different category, makeup, haircare, fragrance, skincare, fashion, stationery and one wildcard pick. So without further or do here's the products I've been loving in January.
Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette
Up until recently my Naked 2 palette had hid itself away behind my other eye palettes, it wasn't until all the Naked 3 hype came about that I dug it back out again. I'm not going to bore you with colour names and swatches, it's not a new palette you'll have heard it all before. What I will say is that this old faithful has well and truly found its way back into my daily routine, from its variety of matte, shimmer and glitter finishes this neutrals palette transforms day into night in a cinch and I cant for the life of me figure out why I spent so much time apart from it. It also comes with a full size double-ended crease and shadow brush. Not forgetting the added tester size Lip Junkie Lipgloss in the shade "Naked" that comes with it. Im more of a lipstick/lipstain girl myself so the lipgloss was never really my cup of tea, I would have much prefered the primer that comes with the original Naked palette, but dont get me wrong the colour is lovely and its not too sticky in application. Urban Decay please forgive me for leaving you for so long!
Dry shampoo i'd always class as an essential item, whether its just to freshen up second day hair or give a bit more texture and workability to freshly washed hair. If you haven't heard of Batiste before where have you been? They have a range of different scented dry shampoos in a range of sizes from large 400ml cans to teeny tiny handbag sized ones. My personal favourite is the tropical scented one, it smells absolutely amazing! Just shake the can, spray into your roots, rub it in a bit and you're ready to go. Perfect hair without the hastle every time!
Coco Mademoiselle
Coco Mademoiselle
This ones an oldie but goodie. Coco mademoiselle was my first favourite fragrance, that started way back when I was worked on the fragrance counter in debenhams. Its a light oriental floral scent fragranced with jasmine and rose. Aswell as the bottled fragrance I have the twist and spray version, which is perfect to pop in your bag and top up your scent during a busy day. Its an all time favourite and I get frequent compliments on it whilst wearing. It's a product that I always go back to so theres got to be something good too it!
Nivea Soothing Cleansing Mousse
I tried this on a whim when I popped into my local boots the other day and its by far the best decision i've made in a while! I have quite sensitive somewhat dry skin and finding skincare products that work well for me is usually quite a hastle. The Almond Oil enriched formula turnes from liquid to mousse when pumped. I find that one pump is the perfect amount to cleanse my face, just apply to wet skin, massage in and wipe off. The product leaves a ever so light scent and leaves skin feeling really clean and refreshed with no redness drama.

I've always been a bit of an accessories fiend and recently midi rings have become somewhat of an obsession! The're cute, dainty and stackable! This pack of 5 was from Topshop and although they're no on the website i've seent his pack on a few stores recently. It includes 3 silver rings and 2 gold in a mixture of plain and patterns and I can't stop wearing them. The only obviously downside to highstreet jewellery ishow quickly it tarnishes, so before your first wear pop a layer of clear nail varnish all over your rings and wear to your hearts content without having to worry about green fingers!
Hummingbird Print Organiser
The start of each year I make a promise to myself buy and use a diary. The buying part I never have a problem with, the using it not so much. I always have good intentions and usually manage to make it through until the end of february but after that I always trail off using it and gets thrown in the back of a draw never to be seen again. It's probably a cause of my writing starting off superbly neat on the 1st of January and gradually getting worse and worse, so this year I vouched for an organiser instead of a diary. My though process being after each month has finished I can take the pages out and start afresh, neat handwriting and all. I was very tempted by a Filofax but found Paperchases array of designs far surpassed that of Filofaxes and were a fraction of the cost. The Paperchase designs also fix Filofax inserts and vice versa. I also opted for the Appointment stickers and Zip pockets, which each come in packs of 2 and are, I think, the perfect accompaniment. I chose the Personal Slim size organiser in the Hummingbird print, which is no longer available on the website but still currently in stores. Their 2014/2015 mid year organisers range launched in stores this past week.

Juice cube
This little life saver was a christmas present and has been a handbag essential ever since. Having an iPhone also opens you up to the common factor of having what feels like next to no battery after just taking it off a full charge. Step forward the Juice Cube! The handy little cube comes with 8 attatchments and a usb charge cable and gives roughly a full charge, which is great for out and about. Just give it a little shake and the 4 blue lights on the back show you just how much juice you have left. The only downside is it doesnt have an apple "lightning" attatchment only the "30pin" so I cant use it for my iPad. Although im sure I could pick one of those up somewhere if I really feel the need. Until then this little beaut gets the job done nicely.
Well there you have it, hope you enjoyed my best of January! What were your January favourites? Have any suggestions for me to try next month? Let me know in the comments. Happy February everyone!
