I'm an absolute sucker for any type of "what's in my..." post, I mean everybody loves a good peek into someone else's makeup bag, right? No? Just me? Awkward... I love
making new discoveries through other peoples experiences of make up, you find all sorts you may not have ever stumbled upon otherwise! I don't always wear a full face of make up, especially if I have an early start, the night before I'll have every intention of getting up early but in the morning the snooze button becomes my best friend. More often than not I end up opting for a quick hit of concealer, a coat of mascara and some formation of tinted lip balm. However if Im doing something special or have the time these tend to be my go to products.
Face:
So after my morning skincare routine I grab my go to primer Benefit Porefessional I've hear lots of reviews both good and bad for Porefessional but personally I've had nothing but good experiences with it. I use it underneath my foundation, it gives such staying power and has such a flawless finish. My foundation of choice at the minute has to be L'Oreal True Match Foundation in Vanilla Rose, which I either apply with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush or Beauty blender, whichever I have to hand. It's a medium coverage foundation but is easily buildable, which is perfect for me. I then follow with my Mac Pro Longwear Concealer in NW15 under my eyes, around my nose and on any red areas. Then set it all with Soap and Glory Kick Ass Translucent Pressed Powder.
Then comes the sculpting. I start with my Benefit Hoola Bronzer in the hollows of my cheeks, or my attempt to create said hollowed cheeks, and around my face. Followed by No7 Pop and Glow Cream Blush in Rose Blossom, I love this blush, its such a lovely creamy formation that turn more powder when applied so is super blendable. Then to finish use the Highlighter from the Naked Flushed palette, which is a really pretty soft pink champagne shimmer, sweeping it across my cheek bone and done my nose.
Eyes:
For eyes I always start off with Too Faced Shadow Insurance Eye Primer, this is a forever repurchase for me, although it lasts absolutely ages anyway. I used to be a UD Primer potion girl but after using TF shadow insurance I'd never go back. For shawdow I use a combination of Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette & The Body Shop Shimmer Cube Palette in 06 Warm. I use Tease (Naked 2) through my Crease, Choc Chip (Shimmer cube) as my Lid colour, Marshmellow (Shimmer cube) for Inner corner highlight and Snakebite (Naked 2) in Outer V. Finishing by throughly blending them all out. I then go back in with my Urban Decay Highlighter just on my browbone.
I then go in with Soap and Glory Archery in Brownie Points felt tip end to shape my brows and fill in with Benefit Browzings powder in medium and my trusty Real Techniques brow brush. I don't get on particularly well with the Browzings wax but the colour of the powder is perfect.
To tightline i use Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on eye pencil in Zero, I also task this onto my lower lashline and slightly smudge out. Then use L'Oreal Super Liner black lacquer to line my upper lashes. I like really tight crisp eyeliner, if im feeling fancy I'll bust out a cat eye but usually its a teeny tiny flick and tight to my lashes. Finishing my eyes with Revlon Photoready 3D Volume Mascara in Blackest Black, this mascara I picked up on a whim in boots the other day but it has fantastic coverage, adds lenght and guves great definition, amazing find!
Lips:
For lips I use Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer in Celestial, the formula to these is so creamy and has really great pigmentation. It has pretty good staying power but do take it along for the ride incase of top ups. I also use Vaseline Lip Therapy Aloe Vera during the day to keep my lips hydrated.
Perfume:
My perfume of choice at the minute is still Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel. I mentioned this in my January Favourites post and It's still my favourite to pop in my bag and go.
